On some Rory Facebook sites today some posts were made about Donal's Rory biography soon to be published with what looked like a mock up of the cover.
Can Jay Jay or anyone shed some light on this? Maybe Daniel?

Daniel had mentioned in a recent interview that his father was writing a book, but didn't mention any release date. I've just seen the posts on Facebook too.

99.9% certain it's the original book that Jean noel coghe released many years ago.. Maybe it's getting reprinted.. Hope its being checked for errors because imo was, brilliant

I went to Jean Noel Coghe's Facebook page, and he says it's a "book in progress", and the mock up cover plainly shows Donal with the book title " Rory Gallagher: The Extraondinary Story Of My Brother's Life". However I think deuce may be right, as also posted is what looks like a forward by Donal but for another book by Coghe, not Donal's long awaited book. Who knows.

That he is being rather cheeky with a newly titled reissued and revamped Rory Gallagher bio book.. IT IS NOT DONAL GALLAGHER'S long awaited RORY GALLAGHER BIOGRAPHY as Daniel confirmed here to me this afternoon in this message.. " Hi JJ, all good over here, hope you're well. No that book isn't my fathers biography, I think Jean Noel is being a bit cheeky there with his title. My Dad's book is still in the works but no release date etc to share at this time. I hope they take Jean Noel to task as his post is very misguiding, not in the spirit of Christmas.

Thank you Jay Jay for the clarification. Nice to hear directly from Daniel. Rory fans owe such a huge debt to both Donal and Daniel for all the work they have done on Rory's behalf with the remixed albums, etc. Cheers to all from Toronto.

Moonchild - yes, I dont think people know what a talented artist Rory was. He had a little face drawing that he signed letters with to his closest friends.
