I've been involved with a few young Rory Tribute bands for many years after Rory's passing in 1995.. It always gives me a great thrill and pleasure after all these years to see the younger generation still playing Rory's great timeless music like this band here  Rockin' On for Rory Slainte Jay Jay |

Yes I saw this video and they are really good. Refreshing to see women in bands.
Are you based in Ireland, Jay Jay? I so hope I can make it over to the Ballyshannon festival next year.

Cheers from Toronto Hi Galwaygirl yes I agree and so refreshing to see especially a girl band playing Rory music No although like Rory and the Gallagher family I'm based like they are and for much of Rory's life in the UK. Yet just like them most of my ancestry belongs in Ireland. I hope you can make it over to the Rory 4 day fest in Ballyshannon next year and we can meet up. Hello Jay Jay, I have dual citizenship and an Irish passport as my father was born in Clontarf, Dublin and his mother came from Belfast. I was last in Ireland 10 years ago (too long) and did a tour around Ireland following my nephew's Jazz band. We went from Dublin, to Sligo, and down the coast back to Cork. I have a fondness for Galway and Cork - hence the name. It would be fantastic to meet up next year with Rory forum members. All the best. |

I just went over to his YouTube page - for a 12 year old he is an amazing player. He has quite a few videos up, SRV and Gary Moore. He seems like he will be a presence as he gets older. He does Rory proud. Thanks for posting, Jay Jay!
