This is a short clip, A new one, posted to YouTube on August 16, 2021. Brian May credits Rory for helping him get his sound.

IMHO, Brian May got his sound from Rory, but it's more than how the equipment is set up. He's also borrowing some of Rory's technique. There is a definite similarity.

I't always makes me laugh when Brian tells the story about him and his friends,"just boy's", approaching Rory," Mr. Gallagher", to ask him about his sound. The funny part is May was born the year before Rory and is older than him. I made the same comment on Facebook that Rory had a certain gravitas that made him seem older than he was.

Hi Suby, welcome aboard!
And, Capo, I used to take it as face value that Brian May was "just a kid" when Rory showed him his set up. My friend Jim M. pointed out that Rory and Brian were near the same age at the time, with Brian actually a bit older. But, I think Rory's calm and commanding manor (off the stage, he was quite different on stage) made him seem, maybe not older, but more mature than his years, in interviews and such. I was surprised to learn he was actually older.
