The greatness of all Rory archive releases from the last years leaves one wanting for more. What's up in the horizon after this one? Anyone heard any rumours?

Rory Gallagher -All Round Man Live In London ( two CDs and a introductory booklet) - My Review
If I had known Rory Gallagher when the 1990s began (which was a great decade of music in my opinion ), I would have loved to see have seen in him in concert. Alas that never happened but this double CD collection of Rory Gallagher -All Round Man Live In London, is a real treat. It was a concert Rory did at the Town and Country Club ( now the O2 Forum),in Kentish Town, London. The concert was recorded over a two day period from the 28th to the 29th of December 1990.
The cover of the album, shows Rory playing his beloved guitar on stage and being in the moment. Its a painting done by Vincent Zara, based on a photograph taken byn Colm Henry. Thankyou to Shaun McGrath Creative, photographers, and the artistic production team, for making a great cover. Thankyou to Eoin Gallagher (Rory’s nephew) for archive scanning. The photographs are amazing and I love the lovely warm orangey and red colours of the CD cover. It is very “Rory”.
There is a lovely booklet inside. I won’t reveal too much. Nigel Summerley wrote the booklet. Nigel met and saw Rory in concert. Rory never really finished a concert with a “finisher” song. He started off the concert with “Lets Get To Work” and he and his band worked hard on stage, to give the best performance night after night, to an ecstatic audience.
Eric Clapton, Peter Green, MIck Taylor. John Moorshead did solos where they really concentrated on what they were playing on their guitars. Unlike their British Blues counterparts, both Rory and Jimi Hendrix played their guitars and allowed the music to flow through them.
Rory really took charge of the stage as we know. His moved on stage and moved with his music. As the title suggest Rory was an all around musician and could play electric guitar, acoustic guitar, mandolin, harp and the sax. This albums shows his many styles of playing and no two numbers are exactly the same. Rory Gallagher interpretation of the blues greats, like Robert Johnson, Blind Boy Fuller, Son House, Howling Wolf, Junior Wells, Leadbelly, Sunny Boy Williamson is both refreshing and a great tribute to these early great Blues players. Rory had learnt from the Blues greats.
By the 1990s, Rory Gallagher had really matured as a player and his concerts were thrilling as ever. He really played out of love. A love of playing his music and a love of making his loyal fans and audience happy.
The band members on this CD double collection are as follows :_
Rory Gallagher - Guitar and Vocals. Gerry McAvoy - Bass Brendan O’Neill - Drums Mark Feltham - Harmonica Geraint Watkins - Piano, Organ and Accordian.
They are all fine musicians.
Here are my opinions of each song in brief that Rory and his band played those two electrifying nights. There are 23 songs in all.
Disc 1
Continental Op - written by Rory Gallagher - Vibrant. Great rhythm. Gerry’s bass can be heard clearly. Heaven Gate - written by Rory Gallagher - Great track. Rory is on the note. Don’t Start Me Taking - written by Sonny Boy Williamson II - Very rhythmic playing. Rory and Mark Feltham on harp are in synch. They play their music instruments off each other. Kid Gloves - written by Rory Gallagher. Great rock and roll track. Great bass playing in the background by Gerry. Mean Disposition - written by Rory Gallagher. Slow blues number. Great slide guitar work by Rory. The Loop - written by Rory Gallagher. Great live jam about the Chicago train loop. Tattood Lady - written by Rory Gallagher. Spanish traditional intro and then Rory launches into a great song. The King Zydeco - written by Rory Gallagher. A tribute to Clifton Chenier. Great accordion playing by Geraint Watkins. Moonchild - written by Rory Gallagher- Very moving. Out Of The Western Plains-written by Leadbelly. Traditional blues song, with a Celtic element from Rory. Ride On Red, Ride On - written by Henry Glover, Theodore Reig and Morris Levy. Great acoustic set with Mark Feltham on harp. Rory’s voice complements his guitar playing Walking Blues - written by Robert Johnson. Superb acoustic guitar playing by Rory. Rory and Mark Feltham gradually build music momentum. Mark is a beautiful harp player and I have been fortunate to hear him play around 4 times. Empire State Express - writing by Son House. Great cover done by Rory. I never heard this version of this Son House song. I only heard it on Fresh Evidence. A lot the tracks on All Round Man album, would eventually end up on Rory’s last great album Fresh Evidence, released in 1991.
Disc 2
Shadowplay- written by Rory Gallagher. Great track. Tight guitar playing here. I Wonder Who - written by Muddy Waters- Lovely teasing blues number. Shin Kicker - written by Rory Gallagher - A reall show stopper of a music track. Middle Name written by Rory Gallagher -Love the opening chords. When My Baby She Left Me - written by John Lee Williamson - Great blues song. Ghost Blues- written by Rory Gallagher - Great rhythmic beat. Messing With The Kid - written by Junior Wells. Fantastic cover. Keep A Knocking - written by Richard Penniman, Bill Mays and J Mayo Wiliams. :0) Bullfrogs Blues - great traditional arrangement by Rory. Great piano playing by Geraint Watking. Rory gives the band members a chance to play their own solos. Gerry McVoy plays bass. Brendan O’Neill plays drums and Mark Feltham plays harp. The crowds get going to the music. All Roud Man - written by Rory Gallaghe is a great finishing track. Rorys voice synches with his guitar playing. They are perfect together.
Thankyou Donal Gallagher, Daniel Gallagher and everyone at the Rory Gallagher Towers for producing this wonderful Rory Gallagher CD collection. I would highly recommend it. Rock On Fory Rory. Subrata. xxx
