A very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you Jay Jay and all the family of Rory fans! I kinda miss the old Forum this time of the year, when it turned blue and had snow falling and Rory had a Santa hat on. Maybe next year we can do it here. Best wishes to all.

Hi Capo & Seasons Greetings.. Cynthia (Moonchild) has said the same..Here's my explanation and apologies to everyone that we don't have a Rory Christmas theme for the forum this year.. I asked Max (Leadbelly) a week or two ago if he could create a Christmas theme for this New Rory forum as he did previously for years on the old LT Forum. But Max has had a lot of problems with himself and his family health-wise. So I told him not to bother this year as he hasn't got the time as it would be very time consuming to create a whole new one for this forum. I don't want to try and do a Christmas theme myself as I tried to do some advanced work on the boards before and ****** it up by deleting all the good work on Rory Records section that Max had put on the board early doors in that section So we'll leave it just for this year and hopefully Max will create one for next years Christmastime Rory Forum. Best Wishes for all in still these difficult pandemic times (My family are in bereavement this week as my wife Annette lost her beloved brother Malcolm similarly to Rory of liver cancer) Rock On for Rory.. Wishing everyone a peaceful, happy Christmas and much joy and happiness for 2022. If we all carried a little bit of Rory's kind and gentle spirit in our hearts what a better place this world would be. Jay Jay, thank you for all that you do on this forum, and I'm sure I speak on behalf of everyone, we really are very grateful to you. Sorry to hear of the loss of your brother in law, thoughts are with you and your family xx

Hello to Jay Jay and all other Rory fans, I just want to wish each and all of you peace in the Christmas season and joy and abundance for 2022. I am so grateful to be part of the Rory Fan "family". I am so grateful to Donal, Daniel and family for all that they have done to reissue Rory's music and keep his memory alive. I second Pebbles that we are all grateful to you Jay Jay for all that you do for this forum and on the fan pages.
I am so very sorry to hear about your wife's brother and send my prayers to your family.
Thanks for the video of Rory wishing us a happy Christmas - it brought tears to my eyes. I know we all hold Rory and his beautiful soul in our hearts. God Bless.

Oh how sad, pets are family RIP Max. Wishing you JayJay and everyone who is in this forum a Healthy, joyful 2022 and may it be filled with much happiness ๐๐ธ xx Thank you Pebbles for your kind words but unfortunately for me and my family the sadness continues into this new year.. My 94 year old mother had a fall last week and is in hospital and hopefully recovering? Plus at the weekend a really good Irish musician friend of ours Kieran Whelan so sadly passed away suddenly at young age. Kieran was always there from the beginning at the first Rory Fest in Ballyshannon. From a young teenage Ballyshannon boy he was in bands playing at the festival and was also on the festival committee for sometime. You could always have some great craic with him into the early hours of the morning after the gigs talking mainly about our hero Rory A few years ago he moved to the USA for fame and fortune everything looked to be going grand. He married a beautiful American girl and musically seemed to be doing ok. That's why this news has come as such a shock and so sad for all his family especially in Ballyshannon and his friends there and around the world. He will be sadly missed. Kieran Whelan R.I.P up there now with Rory Here is Kieran singing with his band The Skins for Rory

I had read about this and it is terribly sad. He was a handsome, talented young man. Obviously with a great passion and love for Rory. R.I.P. My thoughts go out to his family.
